Ministry of Labour launches e-services for work permit application, renewal, cancellation and more

Ministry of labour launch work permit e services

The Ministry of Labour has launched new e-services for managing work permits on its official website.

This follows the Ministry's vision to digitize its services for public convenience.

These e-services are targetted for:

  • Residents sponsored by families
  • Citizens of GCC countries
  • Holders of permanent residence permit
  • Investors

The new e-services available are:

Work permit application

Requirements:

  • Valid establishment ID
  • No ban on the establishment
  • Worker holds a residency of either family, GCC citizen, or investor
  • Both worker and sponsor has residency permits valid at least 3 months

Work permit renewal

Requirements:

  • Valid establishment ID
  • The establishment has no violations of the Labour Law
  • Existence of special work permit for the worker belonging to the applicant establishment
  • License within the permitted renewal period:
    • At least two weeks from the expiry date
    • Maximum 3 months from expiry date

Labour recruitment approval

Requirements:

  • Valid establishment ID
  • The establishment has no violations of the Labour Law

Renew labour recruitment approval

Requirements:

  • Valid establishment ID
  • The establishment has no violations of the Labour Law
  • The establishment must hold Recruitment Approval Code (VP)
  • Not all recruitment approvals have been used
  • The labour recruitment approval is still valid for a week or less.

Amend labour recruitment approval

Requirements:

  • Valid establishment ID
  • The establishment has no violations of the Labour Law
  • Approval must belong to the establishment
  • Effective approval
  • Not all recruitment approvals have been used
  • Not to exceed the number in the original approval
