Ministry of Interior urges people in Qatar to register national address before 26 July 2020

As an implementation for the provisions of the law No. 24 for the year2017 on National Address, and Minister of Interior decree No. 96 of 2019 on implementing certain provisions of the above law,

The Ministry of Interior urges the citizens, expatriates and the legal persons, who did not register in the National Address until now, to register their national address before 26 July 2020 through the application of the Ministry of Interior 'Metrash2' or its website (www.moi.gov.qa), in order to avoid the violator of the above law any legal consequences.

For any query, you may contact the Service Centers of the Ministry of Interior during the officials working hours on the following numbers during the holy month of Ramadan from 9 am – 1 pm and from 6 am – 1 pm during the normal working days according to your geographical area:-

What happens if I fail to register within the timeline?

If any person fails to register the data within six months from the date of the commencement of the official registration process, he will be punishable under Article 6 of the National Address Act. Anyone who violates any of the provisions of Articles 3 and 4 will be fined an amount not exceeding QR10,000. Providing incorrect data knowingly will also draw a fine.
