The Ministry of Interior announced in a tweet that the competent authorities referred several people to the relevant prosecution for violating COVID-19 preventive and precautionary measures in force. There were 299 persons referred to the relevant prosecution, 292 people were referred to the authorities for not wearing a face mask while the remaining 7 were due to not having installed the ehteraz app.
This violation is in line with the cabinet decision and based on Law No. 17/1990 regarding infectious diseases. The competent authorities urge the public to adhere to precautionary and preventive measures in force to protect them and others from the spread of coronavirus.
