Top names at Doha Islamic Youth Forum 2019

The Ministry of Culture and Sports announced today the outstanding participants of the Doha Islamic Youth Forum, which was held by the Ministry within the activities of 'Doha - The Capital of Islamic Youth 2019', during the period from 7 to 11 July.

The list included three boys and three girls. Among the boys was Ahmad Al Muhannadi from Qatar, a young man from Indonesia and another from Cameroon. Three girls were selected from Algeria, Morocco and Oman.

The Ministry of Culture and Sports said in a statement that the announcement of the distinguished names of the Doha Islamic Youth Forum was a catalyst for young people from the Islamic countries, and that the Organizing Committee will honour the outstanding youth in the forum during the closing ceremony of 'Doha - The Capital of Islamic Youth 2019'. They will be honoured for their participation in the forum.

Head of the Technical Committee Dr Issa Al Hurr said the selection of 6 young people (3 boys and 3 girls) as distinguished achievers at the Doha Islamic Youth Forum is a great incentive for these young people, adding that they will be honoured in the closing ceremony of 'Doha - The Capital of Islamic Youth 2019'.

The Doha Islamic Youth Forum was held under the motto "The Youth is the Power of Nation", and in cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Islamic Youth Cooperation Forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The objectives of the forum included presenting and discussing research areas that rely on youth as a key driver in building future development strategies, developing the youth capacities to face civilization and development challenges as a tool for community development, making use of modern means of communication in promoting the values of belonging and citizenship, and training young people on diplomatic simulation mechanisms.
