On its official website, the Ministry of Public Health announced on 27 March 2023 that travellers coming to Qatar from China, Hong Kong and Macau would no longer require a negative pre-travel COVID-19 PCR test result.

The decision comes after an improved COVID-19 status in this region and at the global level. The Ministry stated that removing the pre-travel PCR test result for travellers from China, Hong Kong, and Macau will end all COVID-19 travel restrictions in Qatar.

The Ministry of Public Health encourages the community to safeguard its health and monitor local and international updates on COVID-19 to stay informed about the latest measures.
