Ministry honours citizen sea cow dugong save

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) in a tweet has announced that the Minister of Environment and Climate Change has honoured citizen Muhammad Ali Al-Kubaisi for his efforts in protecting the marine environment and saving a sea cow that was stuck in nets.

The Ministry announced this in a video as released on its social media handle. Muhammad Ali Al-Kubaisi said, "the sea is our second home and we have to preserve it in terms of cleanliness, protection of fisheries, and removing all encroachments harmful to the environment. This is our duty and the rights of future generations."

Mr. Farhoud Hadi Al-Hajri, Director of the Public Relations Department said, "the initiative of our brother, Mr. Muhammad Ali Al-Kubaisi, indicates the national sense and the distinguished environmental awareness which we hope will be widespread among all seafarers as well as in the wild environment. Also to enhance cooperation between us to preserve the environment of Qatar."
