Ministry delegation from Kuwait visits Ashghal

Nasser Ali Mawlawi, the Acting General Manager of Public Works Authority (Ashghal) received a delegation from the Public Works Ministry of the State of Kuwait. Awatif Suleiman Elghaneem, the Undersecretary of the Ministry headed the delegation that included Abdulla Salem Rasheedi, Quality Control Manager and Fatima Hamza Qamber, head of Architecture Department. Welcoming the visiting delegation, Ali Mawlawi shared issues of common concern in the areas of cooperation between the Infrastructure authorities of both the states. On the first day of visit, the delegation met senior officials within and outside Ashghal including Mohammed Ali Al Darwish, Acting Director of Assets Affairs & Senior Consultant in the GM’s Office; Saad Ahmed al Misnad, Director of Infrastructure Affairs; Abdul Hameed Radwani, Acting Director of Buildings Affairs and Khaled Mohamed Al Emadi, Quality Safety and Environment (QSED) Manager at Ashghal, besides Dr Mohamed Saif Al Kuwari, Director of Qatar Standards and Specifications. Mohamed Ali Darwesh made a brief presentation on Ashghal’s activities. He also briefed about the major projects including QR 15bn Doha Expressway project. Dr Mohammed Saif Al Kuwari, Director of Qatar Standards and Specifications, spoke about the proposed Gulf Accreditation Center. He also briefed about the standards and specifications adopted in asphalt mixing in the state. The issue of treated water and its uses was also discussed in the meeting.
