Ministry completes preparations for Eid Al Fitr

The Ministry of Interior said Saturday that it has completed the arrangements and procedures in preparation for Eid Al Fitr to ensure the continuity of its services to the public with high efficiency, and to take all necessary preventive and traffic security measures to provide citizens, residents and visitors with security and peace.

The General Directorate of Traffic's Major Jaber Mohamed Odaiba said that they will intensify traffic patrols across the country to prevent accidents. He added that patrols will increase in front of mosques and the streets leading to them, in an attempt to control traffic and to ensure the safety of families during that time.

Assistant director of the department of patrols and traffic investigations said that they prepared a comprehensive plan for all the events taking place in the state, whether Ramadan or Eid. The total number of patrols reach a 100 that are there around the clock.

The Central Operations Department is also working around the clock through its 999 service, which helps respond to any problems or emergencies.

Director of Central Operations Department Hassan Al Kuwari said that the control room is working 24/7 to monitor areas that has celebrations and to direct patrols, noting that the department at the same time provide services to the public that include responding to enquiries and calling hospitals.
