The Ministry of Municipality announced in a tweet on 31 July 2022, that a crackdown took place on illegal vendors at the Al Sailiya Central Market.

The Al Rayyan Municipality, along with other authorities carried out the inspection; wherein, the vendors were found to be illegally selling in the parking area outside Al Sailiya Central Market.
The vendors are now subject to legal action.
The ministry also confirmed that the cause of the inspection and crackdown is to ensure the health and safety of consumers are maintained.
