The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change reported in a tweet that the Marine Protection Department (Al-Khor Unit) caught fishermen hunting a number of Salal birds in Al Khor. The fishermen were caught hiding the birds inside a fishing ship to sell them, which is a clear violation of the hunting law. The ship was stopped at the entrance to Al Khor, and a violation report was issued.
Inspectors of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change freed the birds, took care of them, and supervised their re-release to nature. The Ministry calls to abide by the laws and preserve the biodiversity and the ecological balance of our environment.
