The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change announced in a tweet on June 17 2022, the investigation of the fish deaths in Al Wakrah that had been reported by a citizen.

The ministry responded promptly to the report to understand the real causes of the phenomenon.

A site inspection was carried out by various specialized teams from Monitoring Department and the Marine Protection Department and other relevant departments.

Fish and water samples were taken for further analysis.

Although a common occurrence during the summer due to high temperature, the ministry announced that they will follow up and provide the public with findings of the analysis and the cause of the death.
