In a tweet, the Ministry of Labour has announced that it canceled the license of Al-Khateer Manpower Recruitment for violating the procedures and laws regulating recruitment practices.
According to the Ministry, the suspension of the license comes as a result of the office’s engagement in different fields, which includes providing cleaning and hospitality services and exploiting fugitive workers by putting them on the hourly system to work in houses without obtaining a permit.
On 16 March 2022, the Ministry also announced the closure of 24 recruitment offices for violations. The Ministry warns individuals and companies from engaging in the business of recruiting workers from abroad on behalf of others without obtaining an approved license. Those who fail to do so will be subject to legal accountability.
