The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Public Parks Department, announced new beautification projects, including the allocation of about QR 750 million for beautification and landscaping projects.
The Ministry noted that the projects will implemented in two packages in the coming years, reflecting positively on the cultural and aesthetic image of the city of Doha.
The first tender worth about QR 250 million was offered to beautify seven main streets in the city of Doha. The works include full beautification, agriculture, landscaping, sidewalks, interlock, pedestrian walkways, bicycle paths, lighting poles and more.
The second package will be offered at a value of nearly QR 500 million, to complete the rest of the projects, which are coordinated with the Public Works Authority and implemented by local contractors.
