Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA), the financial services training provider, held a briefing session in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Finance at Four Seasons Hotel yesterday. The event introduced QFBA’s development products to the Qatari ministries as well as governmental bodies. Various parties discussed potential collaboration and the establishment of strategic partnerships in the near future. The two-hour session began with QFBA showcasing its development products to governmental representatives. This was followed by a Q&A session for ministers and government representatives to familiarise themselves with the role QFBA has in the development and training of Qatar’s financial sector professionals. QFBA highlighted all of its initiatives are directly in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. QFBA CEO, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Horr, said: “QFBA can provide governmental sectors with a series of programmes and professional certificates in financial, administrative, and technical fields. We have strategic partnerships with a number of internationally recognised institutions that provide education, certification and accreditation to the finance industry. Therefore, QFBA offers the best available counselling and training services.” Dr Al Horr emphasised that QFBA is always looking to invest in local talent. “QFBA believes in the importance of investing in the human potential to build a knowledge based economy. We also see the value of building capacities, leveraging professional standards, and supporting training providers with technical tools and expertise to increase performance levels and develop themselves professionally.” The Head of Public Budget Department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Sheikh Saud bin Naser Al Thani, said: “Our Ministry and QFBA are working together to meet the ever-increasing demands of the market to provide the best available solutions to the financial industry.
