In a statement to the media, Maj. Gen. Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani, president of Milipol Qatar Committee underlined that the ­Milipol Qatar 2018 expo has succeeded in bringing in senior internal security experts and civil defense specialists from different parts of the world under one roof and the efforts are constant to establish new standards to enhance the success and excellence of this leading exhibition in the region.

Giving details of the expo, Maj. Gen. Nasser Al Thani said that the program of the 12th International Exhibition of Internal Security and Civil Defense (Milipol Qatar 2018) will witness interactive seminars and discussion sessions to be held on the sidelines of the exhibition that will be held from October 31-31, 2018 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

A number of thought leaders and security experts and specialists from around the world will attend the seminar that will cover three main topics: cybersecurity, cyber threats and civil defense and managing major events' security. The seminar will provide the visitors, government decision makers and VIPs a valuable resource for gaining in-depth information and knowledge on some of the major challenges facing the internal security and civil defense sectors, said the president of Milipol Qatar committee.

The seminar on the first day of the expo will discuss the subject “Cyber security and cyber threats” lead by chief editor of Security and Defense magazine in the presidium of experts and specialists from Trend Micro, Ministry of Communications and Transportations of Qatar, Cisco Systems Inc., Kryptowire and GlaxoSmithKline. During the seminar, the participating experts will discuss threats in the security sector and review appropriate solutions to address those issues.

The morning session on the second day of the conference will focus on civil defense related subjects under the chair of Ms. Emily Hough, chief editor of Crisis Response magazine. Director of Protect Prepare Ltd, industry experts from French Directorate of Civil Defense and crisis management and other international related agencies will be in the presidium, while the evening session will discuss the topic “Managing the security of major events” with the participation of speakers from France, Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, Trend Micro Inc, FOAMHAND Limited etc…
