The Meteorology Department has issued a weather bulletin this afternoon stating that chances of misty/foggy conditions are expected to continue tonight over most areas in the country causing poor visibility below 1 km and zero visibility at times. Foggy conditions expected to continue until 9 am tomorrow morning in some areas.
The department has also issued a reminder on safety precautions when driving during foggy conditions:
