Qatar Meteorology Department of the Civil Aviation Authority has reported that northwesterly wind is expected to return to the country from Monday 2/3/2020 until Thursday 5/3/2020 due to the extension of high pressure over the region ranging in speed inshore between 12-22 KT gusting to 30 KT at places at times especially during daytime causing blowing dust and dusty conditions at times with poor visibility below 2 KM in some areas whereas wind gusts offshore expected to reach more than 30 KT causing high waves exceeding 10 FT at some places.

Northwesterly winds are accompanied by a decrease in temperatures especially during night hours and early morning with maximum temperatures ranging between 19 to 25 degrees Celsius and minimums between 10 to 17 degrees Celsius. Qatar Meteorology Department urges all to be cautious, avoid all marine activities as well as to follow the latest updates through its official social media accounts.
