Mashreq Qatar has launched free online international remittance transactions. The new offer will let customers transfer funds anywhere around the world using Mashreq’s online banking service. Howard Kitson, country head of Mashreq Qatar said: “Traditionally, sending money home was a difficult and expensive process that included waiting in long queues and subject to the timings of exchange houses. With Mashreq’s online remittance service customers can send money anywhere in the world from the comfort of their home/office, 24x7, free of charge. I’m proud to say that Mashreq has transformed the process of sending money home into something that’s fast, convenient, secure and completely free.” Mashreq’s online banking state-of- the-art encryption techniques ensure that customer information and transaction details are always secure and for these money transfer transactions, Mashreq has introduced an additional layer of security through a “Transfer Challenger Code” that is known only to the customer. Online banking services from Mashreq make banking simpler and easier, allowing customers to check their accounts, make transfers, pay utility bills and order cheque books and credit cards anytime. Mashreq Qatar was recently awarded, for the second year running, the Best Consumer Internet Bank in Qatar for 2010 by the Global Finance Magazine. Mashreq’s state-of- the-art online banking platform has gained recognition in the ‘World Best Internet Bank’ category, placing the bank among top international banks for advanced online capabilities. http://www.gulf-times.com/site/topics/article.asp?cu_no=2&item_no=382689&version=1&template_id=36&parent_id=16
