Many not happy with Qatar’s banking services: Survey

A majority of the participants in an online survey conducted by Al Sharq said they were not satisfied with the quality of the banking services in Qatar. Sixty nine percent of the surveyed expressed their dissatisfaction while 25 percent said they were satisfied. Six percent of the respondents remained neutral. The survey referred to the banking sector in general without naming particular banks. The participants felt that some banks had failed to offer satisfactory services due to staff shortage or shortage of qualified staff. There is need for improving the performance of their technical, administrative and financial departments. Some respondents were not happy with the varying interest rates and service charges of different banks noting that they could leave the clients confused.
