Students aspiring for international degrees at affordable prices can now study in some of the premier Malaysian Universities as the country has opened its doors to the international student community. This was revealed at a media briefing today, to announce the Malaysian Education Exhibition to be held on Friday, June 7 from 4pm to 9pm & Saturday June 8, 2013 from 11am to 9pm, at Crowne Plaza Business Park, Najma, near Crazy Signal. The event is hosted by APEX QATAR and co-hosted by Fair Exhibition Organisers, Dubai and MY Aspiration from Malaysia The press conference had a panel of academic and diplomatic luminaries of Malaysia gracing the podium. These included His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Ahmad Jazri Bin Mohammed Johar; Ms. Marliza Malek, from MY Aspiration Malaysia. Mr. Safuvan ; Apex Qatar and Mr. Brian Trenaman of University of Malaysia Pahang. The press conference shed light addressing the need of higher education opportunities in the expatriate families residing in Doha, As we know the expatriate population in Qatar & other GCC counties are always on the lookout of competitive options for the higher education opportunities presented to their generation. Presenting an interesting power point presentation on the said subject, official spokesperson of this panel, distinguished academicians highlighted the cost effectiveness of obtaining privileged education in Malaysia; the stimulating academic ethos at the university campuses; and above all, the opportunities for lucrative job placements all around the world. A student who graduates at the Malaysian campus of a US-based college, gets a degree that is at par with his US counterpart. So there is no difference in studying the same course at Malaysia or in the parent campus in UK, US or Australia except for a substantial cost reduction. A comparative chart of the cost benefit analysis to the student was also presented. H.E. Amb. Dato’ Ahmad Jazri reiterated the Malaysian Government’s commitment to the thrust towards a knowledge based economy and its motivation towards making the country a world class academic destination for all students. The conference highlighted a country wise comparison of the substantial cost between leading educational destinations on the globe. WHY MALAYSIA? Malaysia’s warm welcoming hospitality and the quality of higher education presented in this Archipelago is remarkable and their tie ups with many twining programs offer you the same educational certificates, degrees, diplomas as their European or American counterparts. Higher education from international universities, be it Australia, UK or USA, and a world class degree at affordable prices is now possible in the new knowledge-based economy of the emerging hub of higher education in South East Asia – Malaysia. Yes, Malaysia is serious and committed to the cause of education. It boasts of 21 public universities, 5 branch campuses of UK and Australian universities and more than 33 private universities, and over 500 Higher Education Institutions that provide a diverse range of courses in various areas of specialization. A tuition fee that would otherwise cost you $17,000 per year in Australia or $35,000 per year in USA, will cost you merely $9,000 per year in Malaysia. This is inclusive of the lodging, boarding costs annually for a student. In these times, it thus makes sound economic sense to be able to get an international degree at 30% lower costs of the tuition fees of other countries.
