The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs has just announced the working hours for exposed/outdoor workplaces during the summer period. There should be no work outdoors from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm, effective from June 15, 2020, to August 31, 2020, and the work must not be more than 5 hours during the day time.

The announcement on the Ministry's Twitter states that it "requests owners of institutions & companies who are subject to provisions of Labour Law promulgated by Law No (14) of 2004 to comply with Ministerial Resolution No (16) of 2007 to specify working hours in exposed/outdoor places during summer from 15 June to 31 August."

The Ministry added that its Labour Inspectors will conduct field visits to the companies' sites to ensure that they comply with the provisions of the Resolution. A violation will be filed to any company that allows its workers to work during the Prohibition period.
