It’s that time of the year again. The time every university student looks forward to most at the end of their academic journey. Graduation.

Next week, the graduation ceremonies in Education City begin. EC is home to some of the most renowned universities and campuses in the world. Northwestern University in Qatar (my alma mater), Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, Georgetown School of Foreign Services in Qatar, University College London, Texas A&M University at Qatar, and Hamad Bin Khalifa University.

We have listed the number of students graduating from each university, the programs that are offered, and the dates the ceremonies will take place below:

NUQ: Communications, Journalism
41 students, May 1st, 2016

HBKU: Has different colleges offering a mulitude of Master's and PhD progams, and a Bachelor's program too.
111 students, May 1st, 2016

CMUQ: Business Administration, Biological Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems
82 students, May 2nd, 2016

UCL: Library and Information Studies (MA), Museum and Gallery Practice (MA)
43 students, and first PhD graduate, May 2nd, 2016

VCUQ: Art History, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Painting and Printmaking
61 students, May 2nd, 2016

WCMCQ: Premedical, Medical
34 students, May 4th, 2016

GSFSQ: Culture and Politics, International Economics, International History, International Politics
69 students, May 5th, 2016

TAMUQ: Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Enginieering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering

These ceremonies are only open to guests through invite only. We would still like to offer our congratulations to all the students graduating this year, and to wish them the best in their future endeavors!
