AS part of its summer campaign, Qtel will introduce from tonight “Late talkers”, a promotion aimed at winning postpaid, prepaid and landline customers. Under the promotion, the customers could talk to their families and friends in Qatar without reducing their talk time to stay within the budget, according to a Qtel communique. Starting tonight, the postpaid and prepaid customers could call between 11pm and 6am seven days a week, for 20 dirhams a minute. This represents a saving of 33% for postpaid customers and 63% for prepaid customers. Qtel executive director of group communications Adel al-Mutawa said the promotion was part of “our ongoing efforts to provide the latest telecom services to keep customers connected and ensure that these services meet their various needs without impacting their budgets. This can be achieved through the introduction of low call rates.” In addition to the “Late Talkers” promotion, there are currently five other promotions running simultaneously from Qtel. Hala top-up where Hala customers receive a 5% instant calling credit bonus over and above the top-up amount when they recharge at any of Qtel’s self service machines or e-voucher is one among them. The second is the landline promotion where customers can save up to QR668 till July 19 and the third is a post-paid promotion where postpaid customers can acquire their yearly subscription for QR150, a saving of QR300. The fourth promotion, “the Roam & Win” where for every QR100 spent by a customer while roaming with Qtel outside Qatar, gives one a chance to enter the promotional draw to win a BMW 650 convertible 2008. The fifth service offered is Hala Call Back roaming where Hala customers can initiate a call from anywhere in the world where Qtel has an agreement with the local mobile provider. The communique also pointed out that Qtel was providing optimum mobile service at reasonable rates where customers enjoyed low calling rates and full international and roaming services in more than 106 countries. In addition, customers can also benefit from Qtel’s value added services such as 3G Video Call, Mobile Internet, Mosaic Mob (ringtones, Java games, photos), Conference Calling, SMS, International and Local MMS, Voicemail and more. http://www.gulf-times.com/site/topics/article.asp?cu_no=2&item_no=228628&version=1&template_id=36&parent_id=16
