The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADSLA), represented by the Labor Inspection Department mentioned in a Tweet that it detected a violation in one of the workers' housings for a company in the hospitality and hygiene industry in the Al-Khaisa area.

The violation was that the company had failed to comply with the requirements and specifications of suitable housing for workers. Legal measures have been taken against the violating company by the labour inspection team affiliated with the Ministry.

MADSLA called on companies to adhere to the requirements and specifications of suitable housing for workers, in order to avoid being subjected to penalties that reach imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months, and to a fine of not less than two thousand riyals and not exceeding one hundred thousand riyals, or one of these two penalties, according to Decree-Law No. 18 of 2020 amending some provisions of the Labor Law promulgated by Law No. 14 of 2004.
