Actor-producer Sir Ben Kingsley’s film company, SBK Pictures, is set to partner with Qatar to produce films. Initial discussions for this are on, revealed the Oscar-winning actor’s wife and famous actress and theatre personality, Daniela Lavender. Lavender, who is here with Sir Ben to attend the Doha Tribeca Film Festival, was talking to The Peninsula yesterday. “SBK has a serious plans to partner with Qatar in doing some projects. Discussions with Her Highness Sheikha Mayassa are progressing”, she said. Launched in 2007 by Sir Ben and his producing partners Simone Sheffield and Valerie Hoffman, SBK Pictures is a creative service company that develops, produces and directs film and digital assignments for a variety of clients.
