Katara will celebrate Eid this year from a distance, launching a series of events that will be streamed on its website.
Katara said that the theme of this year will be "stay home, your Eidiya will be delivered to you." This comes in light of the physical distancing implemented by the state to contain the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Events start at 4:00 PM, local time with online raffles that end at 6:00 PM. An hour later will see the presentation of the Katar Eidiya. At 8 PM there will be virtual fireworks, followed by another round of Eidiya an hour later.
