Katara presents Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream Following the success of Romeo & Juliette, Shakespeare returns to Katara’s stage Doha, March 27th, 2012: Katara, the Cultural Village partnered with Globe Education to present A Midsummer Night’s Dream, one of Shakespeare’s most popular works. The performances begin on Saturday 31st March at 6pm, followed by shows on Sunday 1st April and Monday 2nd April at Katara’s Drama Theatre, Building 16, tickets are now available at Virgin Megastores. Accompanying the performances, Globe Education will host five workshops for students interested in learning more about Shakespeare, each session will take place prior to the performance. Open to public, as well as two shows which are exclusive for schools; tickets are available through the Cultural Affairs Department. Dr. Emad Sultan, Cultural Affairs Director said, “We are proud to partner with Globe Education to offer this educational experience to young people, this event provides us with an opportunity to engage youth in this enthralling experience. This initiative contributes to our wider visions of providing education and entertainment whilst building cultural bridges.” Globe Education is one of the largest education departments in the UK. Each year more than 100,000 people of all ages and nationalities participate in Globe Education’s program of public events, workshops and courses. - ILQ news -
