Fitness addicts and healthy people avert your eyes (unless it’s cheat day, of course) because this post may cause severe cravings for something sweet (and not-so-healthy). If “dessert culture” is a thing, then Doha is killing it. I can honestly say we have some amazing places to satisfy all types of sweet tooth cravings. If you love sweet things then you should definitely check out our list of dessert locations and their must-try desserts.

Sugar & Spice

Their desserts are so good that they had to open another branch! They have awesome pancakes (only served during breakfast), and a variety of delicious desserts that will drive you crazy. Their goodie jar is one of their specialties, and their cookies are pretty popular too. Of course, if you see something you like on their menu you should most definitely try it!

Chac’Late


Their name says it all, and who doesn’t like chocolate? Located at Katara near the amphitheater, Chac’Late serves everything from waffles to fondue to actual chocolate bars. Their Medovnik (honey cake) is one of their specialties, as well as their hot chocolate drinks. My particular favorite is their hot chocolate that’s poured onto a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it legit tastes like a hug in a cup. I also tried their Lotus Lock, which is a small yummy cheesecake made using Lotus spread (for Lotus lovers, a must try!)

Magnolia Bakery

Magnolia serves an assortment of different desserts from cookies to cakes and pies. Their specialty dishes are their banana pudding, ice box cakes (comes with whipped cream), cheesecakes, and cupcakes! Their cheesecakes and cupcakes are so. yummy. Particularly their red velvet cupcakes and white chocolate macadamia cheesecake.

Mini’s Pancakes


Literally mini pancakes. But with a wonderful added bonus of being able to add whatever topping you want! Milk chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate, Nutella, Lotus, you name it, they’ve got it! Of course they have fruit toppings too like strawberries and bananas. If you love pancakes - mini ones - head over to Mini’s at the Pearl.

Dip n Dip


This is another place that will drive you crazy with the number of different dessert options they offer. If you’re eating here, you’re definitely leaving with a sugar rush. They have crepes, pancakes, waffles, fondues, a whole range of diabetes inducing drinks (go easy guys). Their top dessert is their fettuccini crepe, which is made to look like fettuccini pasta with a scoop of ice cream in the middle, and you can choose what chocolate topping(s) you want on it! When you try it, it’s like there’s a chocolate volcano erupting in your tastebuds, but you’re lovingggg it.

Altseenat Café


A Magnum ice cream bar on top of waffles. Such a creative and mouthwatering little concoction. And that’s not all, you can even go crazy with the toppings you want on top of your already delightful ice cream waffle. They have similar topping choices to Mini’s, with an added nuts category. Go crazy!
