This watch in particular took almost ten years to make from the concept, research, and development to the actual final piece. A single master watchmaker created it, and it holds an estimated value of more than $1 million. According to Dana Alfardan, Vice President of Alfardan Jewellery, “It contains 23 complications in an 8.7 mm [thick] caliber – caliber is the engine let’s say of the watch – and the complications are the different movements within the mechanism that strives to accurately tell time. In this specific watch, it contains astrological features [as] you’ve got the phases of the moon, minute repeater, high-tide low-tide, [and many other] different astrological and mechanical components. This 8.7 mm movement contains 514 different individual spare parts that come together to create this mastery of watchmaking.”

If you’re looking to purchase this is one of a kind watch, you’re out of luck as it’s already been sold. But, don’t worry! Vacheron Constantin has other watches you can purchase that are exceptional and exclusive in their own ways as they come from one of the most prestigious watch manufacturing houses in the world.
