Executing its plan of shifting to a new premises, the Indian embassy in Qatar is all set to relocate to Onaiza this week.

The office at the new location will start functioning from June 27, it has been announced. The new address is Villa No. 86 & 90, Street No. 941, Al Eithra Street, Zone 63, Onaiza, Doha.

With the number of Indian expatriates in Qatar rising considerably in recent years, the embassy premises in Al Hilal had been stretched to capacity and there was a pressing need for a larger space.

The relocation and shifting process will be held from Wednesday to Sunday and the embassy will not be able to provide consular and other services during this period. However, the embassy will attend to cases of emergency even during the relocation period.

In case of an emergency during this period, one can contact the embassy’s helplines: Consular Section - 33872462, 66952621 and 33555029; and Labour & Community Welfare Section - 55808254, 33451607, 66275337 and 33208766.
