In our newest episode of In The Glow, beauty enthusiast Roufaida Thabti, also known as Roufaida_Faces, gives us a short, quick, and simple makeup tutorial.

Thabti shows us the look you want to achieve as a final result, as well as the look you don’t want to achieve. When speaking with Thabti she shared that most women tend to layer too much makeup on their face and overdo certain aspects, such as packing on too much blush, or not fully blending in the contour so that it ends up looking like a thick brown line down the cheekbone.

In this video, Thabti walks us through how to properly apply makeup in a step-by-step process. Here are some of the steps:

Process:

Base:
-Use moisturizer as base for foundation
-Primer helps to apply foundation smoother and makes it last longer

Foundation:
-Dab foundation with beauty blender!

Eyebrows:
-Shape eyebrows with a brush before filling in
-Use concealer to help clean up brows

Eyeshadow:
-Soft smoky: Use shimmer for main lid and dark tones for crease

Eyeliner:
-Start lining from outside the lid to the inside for better results

Eyelashes:
-Apply one coat of mascara before applying fake lashes
-For false lashes, leaving the glue to dry is key!

Powder:
-Set makeup in place with translucent powder

Contour:
-To contour, apply just below the cheekbone and blend

Blush:
-Apply blush on cheek to add natural color to the face

Highlighter:
-Finish the look with a pop of highlighter on your cheekbone, brow arch, and inner lids

Lipstick:
-Slightly over-line lips to get a fuller pout, and fill in!
-Use concealer to even out the lines
