The General Directorate of Civil Defence (GDCD), in cooperation with the Mosques Affairs Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, organised a two-day training course on the “Safety and security procedures” for imams and preachers of mosques. The course, conducted by Captain Hussain Aman Al Ali, an officer from the media and preventive education section at GDCD, covered various subjects on safety and security procedures, prevention and protection measures, application methods, guidelines for fire protection and safest ways of dealing with fires. Al Ali highlighted the important role that imams and preachers can play in raising awareness among the public on this issue.
