Dr Hessa al-Jaber and Romain Bausch signing the agreement between ictQATAR and SES S.A. in the presence of HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani and Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Juncker The Supreme Council for Information and Communication Technology (ictQATAR) and SES S.A, one of the world’s leading providers of satellite communication and transmission services, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the potential provision of joint satellite platforms, networks and services. The agreement was signed by ictQATAR Secretary General Dr Hessa al-Jaber and Romain Bausch, President and CEO of SES in the presence of HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani and Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Juncker. Within the framework of the MoU, ictQATAR and SES will explore co-operation opportunities for the provision of satellite platforms, networks and services in the Middle East and beyond, including the provision of SES satellite capacity for the joint development of space assets and orbital positions as well as the associated ground segment. The co-operation between ictQATAR and SES is supported by both the governments of Qatar and Luxembourg.
