Doha,April,11:Engineering consultancy Hyder has won a $70m contract from Ashghal to design and supervise construction of a new section of the Doha Expressway project. It said that the company is expected to start work on the project, its second for Ashghal, within its current financial year, which began on April 1. “We are pursuing a number of other important opportunities in Qatar and Saudi Arabia,” it added. The UK-based company announced the project win in an update to the London stock exchange, when it said that profits for the financial year to March 31 were likely to be in line with expectations. “Middle East results are ahead of plan and well ahead of the prior year,” the company said.
