Grand Hyatt Doha hosted, for the first time, a blood donation campaign open to all employees of the hotel. Grand Hyatt Doha’s human resources department took the initiative in partnership with the blood donors unit of HMC. All employees who started work with the hotel before November 2010 in Doha were eligible, according to government instructions. More than 40 participants were registered and could give their blood. Grand Hyatt Doha general manager Garry Friend, who also donated blood, said: “We hope this campaign will lead many others in the future and will encourage more and more people to follow our initiative in order to save lives.”
