Hospitals Planned for Laborers Date: Jun 30, 2010 Category: News Source: Qatar News Agency Qatar plans to build three hospitals to exclusively cater to the needs of foreign laborers during the next five years in a bid to ease the pressure on existing healthcare facilities, Dr. Jamal Rashid Khanji, the Director of the Medical Licensing Department at the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) said. Dr. Khanji said the hospitals will be built in the north, south and industrial areas by the government sector; while construction works, processing and management will be contracted out to the private sector. Dr. Khanji revealed the three license applications to build new private hospitals in the country are currently being presented to the Medical Licensing Department.
