Doha March 13:A higher committee was created for following up pedestrian bridges and subways projects with the aim of coordinating among the various entities involved with these projects. The Committee will be chaired by the Ministry of Interior with the membership of a number of authorities closely concerned with such projects including the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning through the Urban Planning Department which would undertake the process of locating and making the plans of these projects, and the Public Works Authority which will assume implementation of the projects as well as Qatar Railways Company which would locate the train stopping stations so that the relevant bridges and subways would be established nearby. This significant step of creating that committee comes in the course of the great project Qatar will witness within the coming period including magnificent roads and infrastructure projects and railway projects for constructions of railway stations for the trains and metro grids shortly at the various areas. All such projects require the development of a great strategic plan for pedestrian bridges and subways which would be constructed in parallel with the roads, infrastructure and railway projects which would be set up in the coming stage.
