Due to the Eid al-Adha travel rush, Hamad International Airport (HIA) has advised departing passengers to arrive at the airport three hours before the flight “to enjoy a comfortable and seamless journey”.

The HIA advisory said the rush is expected to continue until September 14.
“To enjoy a comfortable and seamless journey, be sure to check in online, arrive three hours prior to your flight and use the E-gates to avoid queues,” HIA has said, reminding passengers that check-in would close 60 minutes prior to departure.

People who are dropping off or collecting passengers have been advised to use the short-term car park, which offers complimentary parking for the first 30 minutes and costs QR5 per hour thereafter.

Passengers also have the option of parking their vehicles at the airport’s long-term car park, which provides them with a regular shuttle service to the main terminal every 15-20 minutes.
