HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser has launched her official Facebook page, @mozbintnasser. Her Highness’s entry to the social media platform marks the third recent foray by the Qatari Royal Family into the realm of social media – following the launch of HH The Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s Instagram account on Qatar National Sport Day, and his official Twitter account this Qatar National Day.

HH Sheikha Moza’s official Facebook page will be run by her office, and will act as a platform for the public to learn more about her important humanitarian work and endeavours in the realms of global education. Her Highness currently serves as Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, Sidra Medicine, and has previously served as Vice-Chair for Qatar’s Supreme Council of Health, and Vice-Chair of the Supreme Education Council.

In 2012 she founded Education Above All – a global initiative to spear-head development and access to education for youth affected by poverty, conflict and disaster, as well as the empowerment of women. Among her many humanitarian roles, Her Highness also serves as UNESCO Special Envoy for Basic and Higher Education.
