Health care services in Qatar to get better!

In its editorial Tuesday, Qatari daily Al-Watan underlined that the high-quality healthcare services in the State of Qatar and the constant quest for the best will continue at higher standards with the continuous support of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani of this vital sector, and his sound guidance that contributed to the development of medical services across the country.

The newspaper pointed out that the State of Qatar pursues high-quality, developed and modernized services to the people of Qatar in all fields, referring in this regard to what we are witnessing today of the significant development in the medical and health services.

In the framework of this remarkable progress in the development of medical services, the paper said that HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari revealed before the members of the Shura Council on Monday that five specialized hospitals will soon be established in support of the country's health sector.

The paper also referred to what HE said that the upcoming period will see an improvement with regards to appointments waiting time, a draft law on health insurance would soon be prepared and an increase in the number of beds in hospitals in order to ensure a better treatment for all citizens and residents of the State of Qatar, especially as the Ministry plans to establish six new health centers in a number of areas after the appointment of about 2000 doctors and nurses in the hospitals and new centers.

In conclusion, Al-Watan said that the infrastructure of the health sector in Qatar continues to develop, despite the fact that it has a very advanced position in providing services as indicated in the most prestigious international standards.
