The Emergency Department of Hamad General Hospital (HGH) treated 572 patients on the second day of Ramadan yesterday. But no case was reported due to dehydration, said a senior official. Cases received by the department were related to stomach ailments, common cold and flu, trauma due to road accidents and several other problems, said a Senior Consultant at the Emergency Department, HGH.
“All cases received at the Emergency Department were related to common causes like stomach ailments, road traffic accidents and cold,” he told The Peninsula. However, no case of dehydration case was reported. “We were usually receiving four to five dehydration cases. But exceptionally today (yesterday) we didn’t see any dehydration cases, which is a very good sign,” said the official. (Source)
