H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received on Wednesday (March 2, 2022) evening a phone call from H.E. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

During the phone call, they discussed the latest developments in Ukraine, especially with regard to the ongoing military escalation, and the need to end the crisis through dialogue and diplomatic methods.

His Highness has called on all parties to exercise restraint and resolve the dispute through constructive dialogue and diplomatic methods, as well as the settlement of international disputes by peaceful means.

H.H. the Amir has also stressed the need to keep the humanitarian situation of civilians as a top priority, ensuring their safety.
