H.H. The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani performed Eid Al Fitr prayers along with citizens at the Al Wajba praying area this morning.
H.H. The Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani also performed the Eid prayers.
His Eminence Sheikh Dr.Thaqil Sayer Al-Shammari, the Judge of the Court of Cassation and member of the Supreme Judicial Council, delivered the Eid sermon in which he stated that the purpose of fasting is to achieve piety, reform hearts and perfect worship to God.
Sheikh also explained in his sermon the importance of benefiting from the school of fasting, and that the greatness of the soul of the believer is in its ability to be moderate, not by its ability to transgress.
The Sheikh also highlighted that Eid is a worship in which the believers rejoice by completing fasting and performing prayers, calling on the masses of worshipers to link the wombs and pray for the Islamic nation for unity and righteousness.
