His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has issued several Amiri decisions on Monday, January 7, 2019.

The Decision is to go into effect from the date of issue and is to be published in the official gazette.

Appointing Chairman of General Tax Authority

H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued on Monday Amiri Decision No 1 for 2019 appointing Ahmed Issa Rashid Al Ibrahim Al Mohannadi as Chairman of General Tax Authority (GTA).

Appointing Secretary-General and Assistant to Secretary-General of National Tourism Council

H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued on Monday Amiri Decision No. 2 of 2019 appointing HE Akbar Al Baker as Secretary-General of the National Tourism Council and Hassan Abdulrahman Al Ibrahim as Assistant to the Secretary-General of the National Tourism Council.

Instruments of Ratification

H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued Monday an instrument of ratification approving a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Higher Education of the Sultanate of Oman on cooperation in the field of science and higher education. The draft MoU was signed in Doha on 7/6/2018.

H.H. the Amir issued another instrument of ratification approving the ratification of an agreement on the promotion and protection of mutual investments between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Togo. The agreement was signed in Doha on 30/4/2018. (QNA)

Law Regulating Investment of Non-Qatari Capital

H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued on Monday Law No. 1 of 2019 regulating the investment of the non-Qatari capital in economic activity.

The Law is effective and shall be published in the official gazette.

Law on Supporting Competitiveness of National Products

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued on Monday Law No. 2 of 2019 on supporting the competitiveness of national products and combating harmful practices to them in international trade.

Law Amending Some Provisions of Civil and Commercial Procedure Law

H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued Monday Law No 3 of 2019 amending some of the provisions of the Civil and Commercial Procedure Law, enacted by Law No 13 of 1990.

Law Amending Some Provisions of Judicial Authority

H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued on Monday Law No. 4 of 2019 amending some provisions of the judicial authority promulgated by Law No. 10 of 2003.

Law Amending Some Provisions of Law on Public Prosecution

H.H. the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued on Monday Law No. 5 of 2019, amending some provisions of Law No. 10 of 2002 on the Public Prosecution.
