Seashore Recycling, on 15 October 2022, set the Guinness World Record for creating the 'word with the most number of recyclable bottles'.
They formed the word "QATAR" from 14,183 recycled plastic water bottles. The previous record was made of 5,387 recycled plastic bottles and was set in 2021 at Al-Ettifaq Club, Saudi Arabia.
This record was attempted to raise awareness about PET bottle recycling. Seashore Recycling takes PET bottles and recycles them into packaging tapes.
The display will be available for public viewing until 18 October near MIA park, after which the bottles will be sent for recycling.
