Grazia magazine, the only international women’s monthly in Qatar and one of 25 international editions of the leading fashion title, will be holding the Grazia Style Awards in Qatar for the first time ever next month.

Celebrating everything that is great in fashion – from the best design talent, to your favourite shopping destinations - Grazia will recognise regional and global achievement at a special awards night on November 21 held at The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa in association with Exclusive Fashion Partner Salam Stores, Exclusive Automobile Partner Mercedes-Benz, and Exclusive Fragrance Partner Amouage.

The theme for the inaugural Grazia Style Awards is “From Catwalk to Qatar” and invitations feature a drawing of a model wearing a couture creation against the Doha skyline, designed by legendary fashion illustrator Shamekh Bluwi. Grazia will be showcasing the best that Qatar has to offer and welcoming the who's who of the international industry to an awards ceremony held in Doha to honour the standout style stars from the past 12 months. Guests can expect the industry's most influential and style-savvy personalities from Qatar, the Middle East, and beyond ― brought together for one night only to celebrate their contributions to the fashion landscape.

Grazia Arabia Editor-in-Chief Bianca Brigitte Bonomi says: “There are moments that shape the fashion landscape and carry their imprint long into the future. This month, Qatar is having one such moment. We’re making history by bringing the Grazia Style Awards to Doha for the first time ever and inviting the public here in Qatar to be part of this moment by voting for the style stars that have shone over the past 12 months in Qatar, across the region, and beyond.”

This historic occasion demands an iconic host and Grazia welcomes one of the world’s most celebrated designers, Alice Temperley, founder of Temperley London, to lead the fashion pack on what is set to be the most glamorous fashion event ever held in Qatar.

The London-based designer holds a coveted MBE is a favourite with the likes of the Duchess of Cambridge,
Witherspoon, Penelope Cruz and Pippa Middleton - who selected a Temperley London dress to wear to her sister’s Royal Wedding reception. “I am delighted to host the first Grazia Arabia Style Awards and to visit Doha again,” says Alice Temperley. “As a designer, I draw inspiration from my travels – the people I meet, the history I see and the culture I experience. The Middle East is so rich in all of these so I always look forward to visiting the region with creative anticipation.”

The evening will welcome fashion stars from across the globe, including celebrated designer Rami Al Ali, who will present a prestigious award on the night. “I'm pleased to be presenting an award this year at the Grazia Style Awards Qatar and I look forward to the unveiling of the esteemed and worthy winners on the night,” Rami Al Ali says. “The event is an amazing opportunity to celebrate the region's most fashionable and high achieving talent and I'm honoured to be involved.”

Demonstrating its commitment to honouring Qatar’s bourgeoning fashion scene, Salam Stores joins the Grazia Style Awards as Exclusive Fashion Partner. Areej Grizi, Regional Marketing Manager of Salam Stores, says: "We are delighted to be the Exclusive Fashion Partner of the first Doha edition of the Grazia Style Awards. The magazine’s target and editorial vibe fits perfectly with the new direction we are taking with Salam Stores – a fresh, modern and stylish take on all things fashion.”

Continuing its impressive links with the fashion industry, Grazia welcomes Mercedes-Benz as Exclusive Automobile Partner for the Awards. “Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, the authorized distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, are delighted to partner with Grazia on the inaugural Style Awards here in Qatar and to showcase the best that Doha has to offer. Mercedes-Benz has strong ties with the fashion world and has developed significant partnerships across major international fashion weeks including Qatar and events over the decades so partnering on the first fashion event of its kind ever held in Qatar was a natural fit,” says Khalid Shaaban, General Manager, Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles.

Grazia also welcomes Amouage as Exclusive Fragrance Partner. David Crickmore, CEO of Amouage says: "Amouage has long enjoyed a strong relationship with Grazia not only in the Middle East but across the world and we are proud to be joining hands to recognize and to celebrate the best in style, fashion, beauty and luxury. Qatar, with its strong demand for high-end, luxury goods, has always been an important market for us which is why we expanded our presence with the opening of a standalone shop in Lagoona Mall last year and later this year, we will open a new shop at the Mall of Qatar. Consumers in Doha are renowned for seeking out special, high quality products with a point of real difference and that is what we offer at Amouage.”

Readers can have their say in the awards by voting for their favourite brands, designers, and bloggers at www.graziastyleawards.com. This will be an open vote which means that any brand, boutique, or style star is eligible. Once the initial votes have been tallied, a shortlist for each of the ten categories will be announced in the coming month.
