Government scholarships for Qatari students and employees of government entities, at universities in the state and abroad in various disciplines will also include children of Qatari mothers and non-Qatari fathers, Al Sharq reports.
The Ministry of Administrative Development’s programme will provide 21,386 scholarships covering 84 areas of specialisations between 2016 and 2026.
In the first phase, 3,485 Qatari students and employees in government bodies will be selected for scholarships.
Deadline for applications is August 18. Disciplines include medicine, engineering, computer science, financial management, economy, tourism, media and public relations, communications and aviation, among others. The scholarship programme was announced in June to improve efficiency and promote administrative capacities among young Qataris.
