Vodafone Qatar, in collaboration with HTC Corporation, a global leader in mobile phone innovation and design, has announced the release of the new "HTC Magic" in Qatar, offering users a wider range of mobile and internet capabilities through the Middle East's first AndroidTM-powered smartphone. The launch of the region's highly anticipated first Android-powered phone highlights the initial success of the newly-forged partnership between Vodafone Qatar and HTC, which aims to provide premium and innovative mobile solutions to Qatar's growing mobile user base.
HTC Magic, which is available in Qatar exclusively from Vodafone, comes pre-installed with some of the most popular and in-demand applications from GoogleTM, such as Google SearchTM, GmailTM, and Google TalkTM, allowing multiple layers of optimum mobile internet capabilities to users who utilize mobile and internet connectivity in the performance of their daily activities. Furthermore, HTC Magic is equipped with a 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen display, a trackball and optimised navigational buttons, a 3.2 mega-pixel camera and GPS.

HTC Magic features the Android-optimised Webkit browser, while it is also equipped with a variety of email options such as POP3, IMAP and Google Talk for instant messaging, aside from regular SMS and MMS messaging. The feature-packed HTC Magic also comes with Outlook® synchronization, Smart Dialer, and has an onscreen QWERTY keyboard with predictive text.
