As part of an innovative brand campaign, automobile manufacturer GMC showcased its new GMC Acadia vehicle by creating a huge mosaic in Landmark Mall. The event was held from Thursday, March 16, 2017 to Saturday, March 18, 2017. The mosaic, a collaboration between social media company Luster and Qatar’s exclusive GMC dealer, Mannai Trading, was a way to present the Acadia 2017, described as a ‘distinctive crossover vehicle.’
This was the world's first Luster mosaic of a GMC, compiled with the help of the public. Those interested in taking part were asked to take photos on their smartphones and post them to Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #Acadia2017. Luster then collected and printed each photograph to piece them all together into a large photo-mosaic of a GMC car. According to a press release, this “highly cutting-edge digital campaign - the first ever for Luster GMC in Qatar - is being used as a springboard by Mannai Trading to promote the dealership and the 2017 Acadia.”
According to the company’s Facebook page, 2,816 images to create a single mosaic from the pictures submitted by participants.

The new Acadia is a multipurpose SUV, with distinct grille designs, new wraparound headlamps, and optional 18-inch and 20-inch wheels.
The vehicle also has essential safety features to help make drivers more aware of their surroundings and potential crash situations, including front pedestrian braking, following distance indicator, IntelliBeam automatic headlamp high-beam control, a Surround Vision camera system, a safety Alert Seat, and lane change alert with Side Blind Zone Alert.
Built on a new, lighter body structure, the 2017 Acadia’s driving dynamics are more responsive, while its shorter length and narrower width enable greater maneuverability. The performance is powered by a standard 3.6L V6 engine combined with a 6-speed transmission.
The Keyless Open and Start feature on the Acadia makes entering and exiting the vehicle easier as well. It also allows the driver and passengers to access all four doors when it senses your key fob approaching and starts the vehicle with the push of a button. The interior offers French-stitched seats with refined, soft touch materials and real aluminum trim throughout the cabin.
For connectivity, the Acadia is plugged in with available phone integration technology through GMC’s available IntelliLink system, making it easy to connect to some of the features.
