The Sheraton hotel will this evening host the latest in its ‘Urban Nights’ events, inviting partygoers to take part in ‘The Blackout.’ A spokesperson explained that THI promotions with support from www.iloveqatar.net had decided to host a different type of event, offering guests the chance to enjoy the country’s first glow-in-the-dark urban music event. “Replacing the usual colourful flashing lights, the theme for the event calls for the guests’ glowing attire to illuminate the glamorous Majilis ballroom, which is one of the hotel’s largest event halls,” he said. “The Blackout will feature internationally renowned DJs, glow sticks, glow spray, glow paint artists, giveaways as well as a paparazzi wall in the hall’s entrance that makes each guest a star,” he said, adding “doors open at 8pm and tickets for general admission are QR100 with VIP tickets costing QR300.” He explained that some of the surprises during the party include giveaways from Lamborghini Doha, GLAM Magazine, Iloveqatar.net and THI Promotion . “The Blackout’s maestros for the evening are DJ Woogie from Shadyville DJs, S.O.D. Money Gang of Soulja Boy, and London DJ, Josey Kray,” he said, adding “they are set to deliver a pulsating night of the latest in hip hop and R&B.” The dress code requires guests to wear at least one piece of black clothing along with either white or neon colours, and tickets are available from the Sheraton’s food and beverage office between 9am and 5pm. http://gulf-times.com/site/topics/article.asp?cu_no=2&item_no=316343&version=1&template_id=36&parent_id=16
